World Book 3; England
On the first page of this book, I quote "First of all, Rifts(R) England includes more than just 'England'. The geographic area includes Wales, Scotland, Ireland and surronding islands. It even mentions France from time to time." Gee, now thats a big sack of B.S. with a capital B! Well gee, out of the entire 152 page book, the say even a little about whats going on in Scotland in 8 @#$!ing pages!!!! And 6, count 'em SIX pages are @#$%ing STATS!!!! ARG! I don't want stats! I want history!!! I want info!!! As you can see, this really pisses me off! So, the first sentence of the @$%*ing book sucked, so that can maybe give you a hint on what the rest of the book was like. The book wasn't too sparce on information, but the whole 'King Arr'thuu' (as it was printed in the book) thing was one big joke, probably just there to take up pages. Why is it that every world book the Kevin does has just GOT to have the local 'old wifes tale' or 'legend' come into the Rifts(R) world?!? I just don't get it, I mean at first it was kind of cool like "Oh, ah, a big squid, cool." then it was like "Ah, Samari, ah..." and now its just "Communists?!? Damn you Kevin! Damn you!!!" But, thats just my opinion. Besides the bull on 'King Arr'thuu' and the massive lies, the book was okay. One of its advantages was that it wasn't packed full of more guns and more robots and more power armor ect. I know some of you are saying "What? Ugg, I like power armor and robots. Ugg" but comeon folks, theres just too much of that crap. Now I'm not saying I don't like P.A. or robots or anything, I'm just saying that when it takes up precious pages on "This gun does 1D6x10+10", when it could be spent on "Well, the sovietski do this and that, but like to do this alot more, and there leader acts like this...."! ::whew!:: So, that is one of the advantages on England.
